Review of the Critical Cycles Harper Commuter Bike
One thing about the Critical Cycles Harper Fixie Bike is it will keep you on the road after your friends have given up. The Critical Cycle brands are known throughout the bikers’ community and renowned for making affordable cycles. They use quality parts with a top of the line performance.
Primarily, you receive the option of choosing your color from ten different shade designs. The bicycles available in different sizes ranging:
- From X-Small measuring 16.93-inches
- Small measuring 19.23-inches
- Medium measures 20.87-inches
- Large measuring 22.44-inches and
- X-Large measuring 24-02-inches
The bikes equipped with top of the line parts and made with a spin-able frame. With the structure, you can easily maneuver the bicycle down curves. The chain wheel is durable and made with alloy. Further, the frame has a hand-built high-tensile steel construction and Tungsten Insert Gas welded. In addition, with the steel design, it is a bit of a leg trainer when cycling up hills.
The frame has a bar-spin clearance with no toe overlaps and has horizontal dropouts. Further, the pedals are 9/16” plastic and we recommend you upgrade them with cage pedals for using it in single speed or fixed gear. This is a city bike and with the flip-flop center, you can free wheel it whenever you like. Therefore, if you do not want to pedal let it go and enjoy the ride downhill.
How does it work all you need to do is take out the back wheel, flip the wheel around and mount it again. With the built-in fixed cog, the bike correlates your pedaling. All that happens is the back wheel relies on the motion of your feet and the faster you go the bike moves with you.
The handlebars are a riser model with a BMX handlebar design to give you an upright yet relaxed riding position and great for the back. While the Pista saddles comfortable to sit on. On the handlebar, you have Kraton Rubber Track Grips. If you are concerned about the bike handling your weight, it can carry up to 220lbs.
